New York Fashion Week round up

New York Fashion Week is one of those times of year that i really wish i was in America, the shows always look so flawless and the catwalk full of who's who in the supermodels category. This is a quick round up of all the looks that i loved:

Jenny Packham

I love these dresses by Jenny Packham. Not only do they have a floaty fairytale like look to them, the colours are so vibrant for this Autumn/Winter. The skirts of both dresses flare out from the cinched in waist. On the orange dress (left) i like the hide-reveal neckline with tulle being used to disguise the bust. Very pretty dresses and perfect for any formal/dress-up occasion.

Marc Jacobs

Don't throw away those faux fur scarves and sequinned dresses just yet. As Marc Jacobs showed in his collection, both of these fashion items are here to stay for another year. Jacobs took a more European look at this Autumn/Winter collection and bought out formal coats in pastel colours and maxi sequinned dresses. A particular favourite of mine was a pastel pink coat with a slim black belt.

Michael Kors

Michael Kors love their bright colours and from their accessories to their Autumn/Winter collection, it is no surprise that they put dashes of colour on the catwalk. This summer, i am planning to get lots of key items in bright colours, i am going to make sure that they can translate into the colder months effortlessly.

Victoria, Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is one of those designers who truly understands the shape of a woman. Despite the fact she is super thin, her clothing lines are always wearable and designed to suit women of all shapes and sizes. Her collection for New York Fashion Week was no exception with dashes of rich colours mixed in with schoolgirl style skirts and knee high boots. This is definitely a look i will be loving this winter.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta focused on the smart dresses route for his collection and it was to die for. I particularly liked the tailored printed dress with elbow length gloves. It is both wearable as well as sexy and has a lovely chic feel to it.
