The Great Gatsby was always one of my favourite books and how amazed was i to spot Amitabh Bachchan in the trailer. In an outfit reminiscent of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom , the evergreen Bachchan looks great and seems like he has a key role in the events of the film. Bachchan plays Meyer Wolfsheim, a flamboyant and suave Jewish money lender in the film based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel.

Kim Kardashian's perfume KK
I must confess that i really am not a fan of reality TV shows but ever since my brothers have dragged me kicking and screaming to watch Keeping up with the Kardashians, i've been hooked. There's something about their ridiculous lifestyles and frankly childish behaviour that keeps you coming back for more. However, this is nothing to do with this post but i wanted to clear it up anyway.
When it came to me trying to get my latest perfume purchase, i was surprised to find that i liked Kim Kardashian's fragrance KK. I have to confess that i did try it on as a joke but i found that it was actually quite a lovely scent. I am usually a Chanel No. 5, Dior Poison and Caroline Herrara kind of girl so this really surprised me. The fragrance starts off with quite a strong tangy scent but then fades into a lasting floral scent. It is a girly scent but not fruity which is what i really liked about it. It has hints of Chanel in it but is great for when you just need a perfume to spritz sparingly and not care about the price.
I bought mine online from Amazon.co.uk for a crazy cheap price here

Ishaqzaade
Stars rating: ***
Director: Habib Faisal
Starring Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra
Ishaqzaade is the tapoori version of Romeo and Juliet, filled with galis and gundas and more badmaashi than you can shoot your gun at, pardon the pun. The story revolves around two politically warring families whose hatred has spread to their kids Parma (Arjun Kapoor) and Zoya (Parineeti Chopra). These two firebrand characters are as stubbornly feisty as each other and will do anything for revenge. As the film goes on, these two do eventually fall in love but living happily ever after is at a cost.
As debut films go, Arjun has nailed the character of Parma pretty well. We are convinced that he is the badmaash street kid and he never misses a beat when playing off Parineeti. Parineeti aka Zoya is a likeable character who is desperate to be 'one of the boys' and she does carry the film. If it wasn't for her, the film would be lacking the spark and charisma. It will be interesting to see how Parineeti evolves into a serious actress with her future films.
Music wise, the film doesn't have much to give, partly because the story is meant to be more about the drama that takes place. Two memorable numbers are Challa and Pareshan which fit into the storyline well but i wouldn't have missed them if they were not there.

Teri Meri Kahaani
Teri Meri Kahaani is the hotly anticipated film starring ex-lovers Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor. The film follows their love story through the ages - 1910, 1960 and 2012. Each character plays a different role in each era and from the trailer, each seems even better than the other. I do think this a big comeback for Shahid who hasn't been very energy filled in his more recent movies and who better to do with than the hyper Priyanka. I really am looking forward to this film and the best part about is that it comes out a day before my birthday so i will be thinking of it as a personal birthday present to me!
