Milan Fashion Week: Moschino

The big Moschino debate. I have to say that this is one designer i don't really rave about, it is too street for me as a label and i prefer simpler elegant designs in comparison. However, when my Twitter feed went crazy with updates from this particular show yesterday, i had to see what the fuss was about. American designer Jeremy Scott has heavily borrowed inspirations from mass American culture, dressing his models in chocolate wrappers, tangy red McDonalds inspired uniforms and even Spongebob was not spared the catwalk. The big question is, is it vulgar or is it fashion?

I think it is a mixture of both. The designs are fun and totally crazy to look at and wear but this is what fashion is about, having a little bit of fun. Some of the trends reflected what has been happening in streetwear for a while, with the Bambi Givenchy jumper, Mickey Mouse ears hoodies and Spongebob sweatshirts becoming favourites in the high street stores. It was only a matter of time before they hit the catwalk. 

A fun collection and a trend to play with in the coming months.

London Fashion Week: Cara Delevingne for Mulberry

You know you have reached the height of fashion fame when you are creating a fashion collection for one of the biggest names in the business. Kooky Cara Delevingne has gained this accolade by being invited to design for Mulberry have her own bag collection. Her eclectic British fashion dress sense is great and she really does portray the everyday British girl next door. She is never overdressed or too overdone and that is probably why so many girls are looking to her for the next trend.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I have to say my ultimate Bollywood couple have always been Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, they look absolutely fantastic together and were the original pair who made me fall for Bollywood with their film 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. They can make me laugh and they can make me cry, but i adore them all the same.

Beauty Review: YSL love

Apart from the YSL Touche Eclat, i really have not used many cosmetics from the YSL range. They have never been attractive to me and frankly, i have always thought they were overpriced. However, browsing through Boots, this pretty limited edition Flower Crush Palette blusher caught my eye. It was so pretty and sparkly and i have wanted a highlighter/blusher to brighten up my daily look. 

Blusher has always scared me because some of them are so strong and it just makes you look too done up and i hate looking like that simply going to work. However, words cannot describe how amazing this blusher is. It is so subtle and goes on like a nice sheen which brightens up the whole face. It is a blusher you could use in the day as well as the night. This is one product that will take me through to the summer months and it looks beautiful on. It is limited edition so grab it while you can. Plus, check out the photo below. The cover of the palette is so pretty and reminds me of crushed rose petals.

I was also desperate to find a lipstick that gave me a bit of colour and that i could use on a daily basis. I fell in love with this shade, it is perfect cross between red and pink and has a matte finish. The lovely lady at the counter also showed me how to blot it to tone it down for every day and it is so nice on that i had to get it. Two lovely products from YSL and i will truly enjoy wearing them.
